The Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS), as the professional association for the field of Information and Referral (I&R), has been actively involved in the creation of tools that can assist organizations and individual staff in identifying quality and measuring performance. In addition, it is constantly involved in the professional development of its membership, and in providing educational opportunities focusing on Best Practices, success factors, and the techniques or traits of “models of excellence.”
The AIRS I&R ToolKit allows AIRS members to access field-tested tools and knowledge.
The I&R ToolKit has five component areas:
• Standards for Professional Information and Referral
• Agency Accreditation
• Individual Certification
• AIRS/INFO LINE Taxonomy of Human Services
• 2-1-1 Planning and Operations
Just like I&R itself, the ToolKit is in a constant state of improvement with new resources being added as Best Practices are recognized and made available.
